"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want" - Psalms 23:1 (KJV)
David knew God as his source. He said “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not lack”. David lacked nothing because he knew how to depend on God for his supplies.
It is important to know God as your source. He is your supplier and provider. Every blessing originates and flows from God. Men may be of help to you but God is the one that causes them to help you. Knowing God as your source will help you to depend absolutely on God. People who don’t know God as their source are usually deceived and disappointed in seeking help from wrong sources.
When you recognize God as your source you will:
1. Thank God and appreciate him daily for providing for you (Ps. 103: 1-5).
2. Turn to God daily for help in your prayers (Matt. 6: 9-13)
3. Honor God with your offerings (Ps. 96: 8).
4. Be accountable to God. Pay your tithes (Gen. 28: 20-22).
Day’s Thought: They that seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing (Ps. 34: 10).
Day’s Prayer Points:
1. Lord, Help me to know you as my source.
2. Lord, help me to depend on you for my supplies.
3. Lord, give me the grace to honor you with my life, offerings and tithes.
